<A brown bear (Jimmy) and a polar bear (Kane) were seen walking through the park in their normal casual clothing>

Jimmy: Not a bad day to take a park stroll, right?

Kane: Especially without the intervention of random assorted bad guys.

Jimmy: Always a plus.

~Highlander park~

* A red and black striped feline (Tai) walks together with a brown and white furred feline (Troy) in their civilian attire*

Troy: *Basks in the rays* Mmm dude this is the best. Warm sun, fresh cut grass, and no trippy alien god stuff to deal with. I could just curl up and sleep the day away.

Tai: *Toting a picnic basket* You take naps every day.

Troy: But today I get to enjoy it and a full stomach. *Leans over and sniffs the basket* you never told me what you brought. Is it good?

Tai: What kind of question is that?

Troy: *laughs* Ok dude you got me. All your cooking is good. but come on you gotta tell me.

Tai: you'll find out when we meet with Jimmy and Kane.

Troy: I'd bet five dollars you tease AXL like this.

Tai: You'd lose. He has pretty much had every dish I've ever made and can tell what they are from the lightest smell.

Troy: *Laughs* Honestly he's probably take you on a date if you offered to cook for him.

Tai: *Blushes* that obvious?

Troy: please dude. It wasn't hard to tell.

Tai: *Laughs* yeah. But he's like my brother so I'm ok with our relationship. I hope I can see him later.

Kane: Say, when was the last time we've hung out like this without the usual crap getting in the way?

Jimmy: We're long overdue to say the least. At least it's nice getting out of the house for once.

Kane: Right? As soon as we find Tai and Troy, it's chow time. Provided a certain panther doesn't eat everything before we have a chance to see what it is we're eating first.

Jimmy: Nah, AXL is working at the Doughnut Dungeon again today. He doesn't get off his shift until a little later, though.

Kane: As long as he doesn't mention the so-called "Butt Floss" lady you told me about when you and Tai went to eat at Four Fries. <smirks> I don't think I'll be able to control my laughter.

Jimmy: <groans> Don't remind me...

Tai: i'm not the only one packing though.

Troy: *carrying bass case* well I figured we could enjoy a little music.

Tai: how has your lessons been with Jack?

Troy: Really good. My rock star brother says I've been making improvements. Even with his busy schedule we can still meet now and then and play.

Tai: looks like his lessons aren't the only ones sinking in bicep boy.

Troy: * laughs* how'd you guess?

Tai: Well for one you're not wearing a shirt and two I can tell.

Troy: Hey I might slack off but I get the work done. Besides Kane is a good motivator. Mostly in that if I didn't get going he would add more.

Tai: Well if you keep that up I might crush on you.

Troy: * Stops* tai...

Tai: *Stops and faces him* yes?

Troy: *places hand under Tai's chin* I gotta tell you dude. I've always loved you and I want to have your kittens.

Tai: * gives him a stern look as ears go back* watch it.

Troy: *laughs and withdraws* relax man I'm just playing.

Tai: you get one a week. *continues*

Kane: Besides, it's not good to keep yourself cooped up in the house and essentially turn yourself into a hermit. It will also get your mind of...you-know-who.

Jimmy: Hunter? He hasn't been active lately. Or do you mean those annoying wolves?

Kane: Them too, but I'm actually referring to...<speaks lowly> Brimstone Bruin.

Jimmy: <closes his eyes and breathes sharply through his nose> How could I forget about that monstrous evil bear when he wants to kill Dad out of jealousy. Not that it matters since he's untouchable and Kai is keeping him under lock down in that arctic wasteland.

Kane: Yeah, I don't like that guy either, but try to keep those thoughts on the back burner for now. We don't want to wreck the mood.

Jimmy: I know. Chase already knows, but we'll tell the others about him another day. <looks further ahead> I think I see them now. <waves a hand> Hey, over here!

Troy: We've gotten a lot from these guys.

Tai: Yeah we have. Cliff and Arianna are in a relationship, I think Blake has helped train Havanna on some combat, and Dante has lightened up a little with Brooklyn.

Troy: As much as he can. You got to know what it is like to kiss a dragon too.

Tai: hey.

Troy: Still a touchy subject?

Tai: yeah. It's not all bad. If it weren't for the break up and Alvin's mind control, I wouldn't have met Oliver.

Troy: you gotta bring him over sometime.

Tai: yeah but how can I explain that alien worlds exist? *Ears flick* Oh there's Jimmy. hey!

Kane: There they are.

Jimmy: Yep, this will be a stress relief.

Kane: <smirks> What kind of stress relief?

Jimmy: <snorts> Not THAT kind, jerk! Jeez...

<Jimmy & Kane walk up to them>

Jimmy: Hey, how's it going?

Tai: it's going good. I hope you don't mind but I brought some food for us to share.

Troy: * shows case* and I brought my bass to play some tunes.

Tai: but first things first. * hugs jimmy*

Kane: We were hoping you'd bring some food to munch on before a certain panther gets to it first.

Jimmy: Yep! <returns hug> Fire hugs!

Tai: he's working hard today and I dropped off a box lunch already.

Troy: * shakes case* and tunes. Don't forget the tunes.

Tai: were having a moment mr bulk.

Troy: I can't help the I'm buff now.

Kane: Buffed for a cat that is, but we're still getting there.

Jimmy: Make him anymore buffed and he'll be big as Cliff and Bass. <lets go> So what's on the menu for today?

Tai: it's still early so I thought we'd do a brunch. I've got some quiche, sandwiches, and some cheery and cheese danishes. Also a thermos of coffee.

Troy : but before we even think about food... * addresses Kane* Tai's the only one getting some bear love? Come on dude bring it in.

Jimmy: Good thing Raiju isn't here for that coffee.

Kane: Er...oh if you insist. <goes over and gently hugs Troy>

Troy: *returns with a strong hug* there we go! Now I feel loved.

Tai: Let's find a nice place to enjoy this reunion.

Kane: <lets go> We do have a usual spot in a grove that has a checkers table to use.

Jimmy: Oh right, it's not too far from here. Plus it's off the beaten path and away from listening ears.

Tai: lead the way.

Troy: yeah let's eat!

Jimmy: This way!

<Jimmy leads them past a grove of trees into a reclusive area where a checkers table stood in the middle of two park benches in a crescent shape>

Jimmy: Here we are!

Kane: Our secret little hangout area in the park.

Tai: nice. It reminds me of this nice park by Cliff and my home. We should hang out in our world more often.

Troy: *sits and sets case down* Let's get our grub on.

Tai: *Sets plates and utensils* keep like that and I'll start thinking that my food is the only reason I'm kept around.

Kane: <sits> We already know AXL thinks like that since he's practically visiting you on a daily basis for assorted meals.

Jimmy: <sits> Nah, you know he likes Tai for more than just his cooking.

Kane: <smirks> I didn't know AXL swung that way...

Jimmy: You and your innuendos, snow buddy! Be lucky AXL isn't here or else he'll, as he usually says, gives you that 'two piece'.

Kane: Heh...onto more pressing matters, what have you guys been up to?

Troy: the usual. Taking naps, enjoying life, same old same old. I took out some deviants trying to do a ritual that would unleash Egyptian plagues so that was good.

Tai: Uh yeah, same here.

Troy: * smirks* liar. Tell them.

Tai: tell them what?

Troy: Oh you know.

Tai: *Realizes* oh no fair man.

Jimmy: Tell us what?

Kane: Go on...

Tai: well... i...er....* blush* I sorta met a guy...and we're dating.

Jimmy: <grins> REALLY now?! Tell us all about it and don't skimp on the details!

Tai: well his name is Oliver. I know it sounds cheesy but we actually met doing some volunteer work. He's actually foreign and came from the country of Australia in our world and has a thick accent. He works as a social worker at one of service centers in town. He's very sweet. * blush* for our second date he took me sky diving. I can't imagine what he'd think if he knew I can make mana wings.

Kane: Hopefully you didn't sky dived off a building like Brooklyn did with Raiju, William, and Troy when he took them to Paris and jumped off the Eiffel Tower...police cars and all.

Jimmy: Oh right...that was when I had my week-long 'date' with Sampson. But Brooklyn's antics aside...<smiles from ear to ear> When do we meet the lucky guy?
